Silhouette Studio is a free program (the basic edition of commercial software) which allows you to create business card designs utilizing vector graphics.
The program sports a clean interface which provides you access to many different tools and menus which aid you in designing clean business cards with vector graphics, perfect for printing. It also features tabs.
Some of the graphics editing tools within Silhouette Studio include drawing shapes, lines, gradients and editing text. The text editing options provide different ways of creative formatting.
Once a design has been completed, it can be saved as a project or exported as different graphics formats like JPG or PNG.

Silhouette Studio on 32-bit and 64-bit PCs
This download is licensed as freeware for the Windows (32-bit and 64-bit) operating system on a laptop or desktop PC from graphics editors without restrictions. Silhouette Studio 4.4.455 is available to all software users as a free download for Windows 10 PCs but also without a hitch on Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Compatibility with this card maker software may vary, but will generally run fine under Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP on either a 32-bit or 64-bit setup. A separate x64 version of Silhouette Studio may be available from Silhouette America.

Many members in my Silhouette Group are experiencing problems with their CAMEO 1, Portrait 1, Silhouette SD or Original Silhouette machines and recent Windows 10 updates. More specifically, the problem is with the 1809, 1903 or higher update and affects USB connections. These machines use USB 1 connections which are no longer supported in these recent updates.
The issue also affects other hardware connected via USB 1 ports, such as printers, fax machines, scanners, external drives, cameras and others that will no longer be compatible.
Most computers have multiple USB ports and one of your ports might be a USB 2 port. Try connecting your Silhouette through another USB port on your computer.
Sometimes a different USB cable will solve the problem. Newer USB cables are faster than older ones. Try one that you have — it might work.
If this doesn’t work, you can purchase a USB 2 hub and connect your Silhouette machine (and any other USB devices) through this hub.
Another option is to avoid installing the Windows update. The older Silhouette machines work fine with older versions of Windows 10.
If you have a Cameo 1 or Cameo SD, you can use your machine with an SD card.
Note that this is not an issue that Silhouette America covers further than what you see on their website as they no longer officially support the older machines, which is inevitable with technology. As new technology emerges, older equipment can no longer be updated and companies eventually have to decide to stop supporting older models.
